Growing environment
Direct into garden bed:
Can be an annual, biennial or perennial plant that can be planted directly outdoors. That's the great thing about the seeds stuck on sticks, you can see where you have planted them. They still need care and attention so protect them from pests and keep them watered.
Plant in Seed Raising Mixture:
Before transplanting outdoors some smaller more delicate seeds need to germinate in a growing medium designed to a specific formula and to be protected from extreme elements such as frost, wind, heavy rain etc. Seed Raising mixture can be purchased in pre-mixed bags from garden centres or other retail gardening outlets.
Indoors or Outdoors:
Seedlings can be raised in a prepared sheltered position outdoors or give them a good head start by germinating them indoors before transplanting outdoors.
