Flower Seed Variety Information

Snapdragon

(Antirrhinum majus pumilum)

Best grown in fertile, moist soil in full sun. Flowering stems develop from late Spring and carry heads of lobed blooms. Beloved by children for the way the mouth of the flower opens and closes with squeezing, hence the common name ‘Snapdragon’. The seed itself is rich in oil, which was extracted and used like olive oil in earlier times.
